Bus Buddy Privacy Policy

Bus Buddy provides transit information without requiring an account or building a profile about you.

Information kept on your device

Your saved routes, stops and journeys, recent searches and journeys, preferences, cached transit data and precise location history are not sent to the developer. Location is used on your device to show nearby stops, plan from your position and run a get-off alert that you explicitly start.

Network services

The app requests route, stop, timetable, arrival, notice, weather, map and directions information from transport operators, public-data services and Apple services. Those providers may receive network information such as your IP address under their own terms and privacy policies. Bus Buddy does not add an advertising identifier, developer account identifier or analytics profile to these requests.

Support messages

If you choose Report a Bug, the app creates a diagnostic report on your device and shows every field before you send it through your chosen email app. It excludes precise location, searches, saved items, exact storage capacity and stable device identifiers. The developer receives only the message you choose to email and uses it to answer your request and improve the app. Email is retained only as reasonably needed for support, security and legal obligations.

Tracking, advertising and sale

Bus Buddy does not track you across apps or websites, show third-party advertising, or sell personal information.

Your choices

You can deny or revoke location and notification access in iOS Settings, cancel alerts in the app, delete Saved and recent items, and remove the app to delete its local data. To ask about a support message you sent, contact hello.busbuddy.hk@icloud.com.

This policy will be updated before materially different collection or use begins. The effective date above identifies the current version.
